Because of His obedience as a servant,
Jesus was exalted as King of kings
"Of his own free will he gave
up all he had, and took the nature of a servant. He became like a
human being and appeared in human likeness. He was humble and
walked the path of obedience all the way to death--- his death on
the cross. For this reason God raised him to the highest place
above and gave him the name that is greater than any other name.
And so, in honor of the name of Jesus all beings in heaven, on
earth, and in the world below will fall on their knees, and all
will openly proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God
the Father." (Phi 2:7-11)
One day He will come back to earth to rule as King of
kings
"His appearing will be
brought about at the right time by God, the blessed and only Ruler,
the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He alone is immortal; he
lives in the light that no one can approach. No one has ever seen
him; no one can ever see him. To him be honor and eternal power!
Amen."
(1Ti 6:15-16)
"Then I saw heaven open, and
there was a white horse.
Its rider is called Faithful and True; it is with justice that he
judges and fights his battles.
His eyes were like a flame of fire, and he wore many crowns on his
head.
He had a name written on him, but no one except himself knows what
it is.
The robe he wore was covered with blood." His name is "The Word of
God."
(Rev 19:11-13)
The saints will come with the King of
kings
The armies of heaven followed
him, riding on white horses and dressed in clean white linen.
Out of his mouth came a sharp sword, with which he will defeat the
nations.
He will rule over them with a rod of iron, and he will trample out
the
wine in the wine press of the furious anger of the Almighty
God.
On his robe and on his thigh was written the name: "King of kings
and Lord of lords."
(Rev 19:14-16)
We must learn to rule as kings!
"Just as my Father has given
me the right to rule, so I will give you the same right." (Luk
22:29)

The saints
are given a special place in Christ.
"You have made them a kingdom
of priests to serve our God,
and they shall rule on earth." (Rev 5:10)

The saints are heirs of God and joint-heirs with
Christ.
"The Spirit Himself
bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God. And
if we are children, then we are heirs; heirs of God and joint-heirs
with Christ." (Rom 8:16-17 MKJV)
By being
joint heirs with Christ, the saints have received a kingdom of
grace in
which to rule as kings, with the power and privilege that goes with
the title.
"Let us be thankful, then,
because we receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken." (Heb
12:28)
The
saints are given the
power of kings over
sin, Satan, the world, and all their enemies.
"Listen! I have given
you authority, so that you can walk on snakes and scorpions and
overcome all the power of the Enemy, and nothing will hurt you."
(Luk 10:19)
"When the Holy Spirit comes
upon you, you will be filled with power." (Act 1:8)
The
saints are kings through
grace, ruling over sin and corruption.
"For the law of the Spirit,
which brings us life in union with Christ Jesus,
has set me free from the law of sin and death." (Rom
8:2)
The
saints are to rule as
kings over Satan.
"I want you to be wise about
what is good, but innocent in what is evil. And God,
our source of peace, will soon crush Satan under your feet." (Rom
16:19-20)
The
saints are to rule over
the world as kings.
"I have told you this so that
you will have peace by being united to me. The world will make you
suffer. But be brave! I have defeated the world!" (Joh
16:33)
The
saints are to be clothed
like kings, wearing the righteousness of Christ.
"You were baptized into union
with Christ, and now you are clothed,
so to speak, with the life of Christ himself. (Gal
3:27)
"I now have the righteousness
that is given through faith in Christ, the
righteousness that comes from God and is based on faith." (Phi
3:9)
The
saints are attended to
as kings, with angels as their bodyguards.
"What are the angels, then?
They are spirits who serve God and are
sent by him to help those who are to receive salvation." (Heb
1:14)
The
saints will one day come
back to rule with Christ as kings.
"Then I saw thrones, and
those who sat on them were given the power to judge. I also saw the
souls of those who had been executed because they had proclaimed
the truth that Jesus revealed and the word of God. They had not
worshiped the beast or its image, nor had they received the mark of
the beast on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and
ruled as kings with Christ for a thousand years." (Rev
20:4)
The robe of the king, just like the rest of the armor of
God,
is Christ himself, the King of kings of the
universe.
